Няхай моўныя маркёры кшталту “масавых беспарадкаў” і “дэстабілізацыя сітуацыі” засталіся незразумелымі англамоўнай большасці (на экранах па-ангельску дубляваўся толькі сінопсіс сцэн), асноўнае пасланне “свабодаўцаў” публіцы было прынята і зразумета. Нібы пацвярджаючы гэта, “Глобус” то смяяўся, то заміраў так, што ў амфітэатры можна было пачуць палёт камара.

Many countries use Eurovision for soft diplomacy – after the Euro Cup, this will be the largest pan-European event. Belarus has been trying to use Eurovision too, not terribly well so far. This year, however, a pretty boy band with not a bad song won the national competition (despite a disgraceful attempt to falsify its results) and now is in Baku polishing the last notes. Sadly, one of the boys has managed to upset some Belarusians: he said that he feels sick when he hears Belarusian language. Bad luck, the boys will have to excuse their own compatriots for not voting for them. (P.S. Betting websites are not very optimistic about the prospects of the Belarusian band – they give no more than 1/33 chance to win.)
